Take 15% off All Rosaries Through May
Posted by Ian on 04 May 2011 09:03 AM

It's the month of May - the Month of Mary so we're offering all of our rosaries and chaplets at 15% off for the entire month!

Origin of the Devotion

Devotion to the Blessed Mother throughout May originated in Rome in the 18th century to counter immorality and infidelity among students at a college there. It has spread through most of the Latin Church now. Because the North American holiday of Mother's Day falls in May, Catholics take this time to recall and try to emulate Mary's role as mother. Therefore devotion to Mary in the month of May focuses both on Mary as a role model for Christian mothers, and Mary's ever lasting chastity and purity, and her fidelity to God's will. The Promises of Our Lady

  1. Whosoever shall faithfully serve me by the recitation of the Rosary shall receive signal graces.
  2. I promise my special protection and the greatest graces to all those who shall recite the Rosary.
  3. The Rosary shall be a powerful armor against hell, it will destroy vice, decrease sin and defeat heresies.

Read the other twelve promises.

I've been praying the rosary about five days a week for the past several years on my way to work. I have a 40 minute drive through ranch land and forests and since I gave up listening to the radio I decided that prayer was a productive substitute to listening to talk radio or music.

I'm still trying to focus on each mystery while I pray it but I'm not there yet.

How about you? Share your rosary stories on our Facebook page throughout the month of May! We have a special discussion forum page just for it.
